Avengers: Endgame is a huge hit around the world, surpassing $1 billion at the worldwide box office during its opening weekend. Audiences in China came in big numbers with $107.8 million on its opening day and $330.5 million in its opening weekend. The film is the conclusion to the Avengers: Infinity War story, and it is an emotional one. It’s so emotional that a woman in China was rushed to the hospital after sobbing uncontrollably at the theater.
The 21-year-old university student in the city of Ningbo named Xiaoli sobbed to the point where it was out of control. She was showing signs of hyperventilation like breathing problems and numbness. Because of the numbness in her hands and feet, she couldn’t stretch out her fingers.
She was sent from the theater to the hospital, and doctors placed an oxygen mask on her to help her condition.
I can definitely relate to her uncontrollable sobbing since I was trying hard to stop it during my experience watching Avengers: Endgame in the theater. I was crying and my mouth was quivering. Yes, the scenes were that intense for me. In my second viewing, I decided to pay attention to the crowd in the theater, and during emotional scenes, I would hear sniffles all around me.
The movie is the culmination of a lot of Marvel Cinematic films, and fans have grown to love the characters. It’s no surprise to see that they would have an impact on people even though they are fictional characters. Did you cry during the movie? If so, let us know!
