Avengers: Endgame has been leaked online thanks to Chinese users

Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame is the highly anticipated sequel to Avengers: Infinity War with fans excited to see the conclusion to the Thanos vs. Avengers storyline. It is set to break all sorts of records at the box office, and it’s already the biggest-selling presales movie ever. It’s hitting U.S. theaters this week, and reviews are already out along with the film being available in other parts of the world. For example, it is currently in Chinese theaters, and with that comes the danger of spoilers online. (There was leaked footage that caused a commotion among the Avengers fans.) Now we have reports that the whole movie has been leaked online, thanks to users in China.

The source of the leak comes from a theatrical screening at a Chinese theater, according to TorrentFreak. The film’s release in the country is already making headlines, with the midnight screening making $28.1 million. It’s estimated to gross $107 million on its opening day. It’s going to be hard to pinpoint who recorded the film since the movie is already all over China.

The film’s file size is 1.2 GB, and Chinese users have been sharing it via the peer-to-peer networks. With a big movie like Avengers: Endgame, it’s not suprising to see it get the attention of American torrent networks. It’s reported that the quality of the film is pretty bad, with the image flickering due to the quality of the recording device. In addition, it’s kind of rotated and has gambling site watermarks that spin all over the screen.

The directors of Avengers: Endgame, the Russo brothers, have been urging fans to not spoil the movie with the hashtag campaign, “#DontSpoilTheEndgame”. So far a lot of fans have been adamant about not being spoiled.

Synopsis: The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from the screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.

Avengers: Endgame hits U.S. theaters on April 26, 2019.
