During WonderCon this past weekend in Anaheim, CA, AMC premiered the first trailer for its upcoming supernatural series, NOS4A2. It is based on the 2013 novel by Joe Hill, whose previous work includes ‘Horns’, which was adapted into a feature film starring Daniel Radcliffe, and the graphic novel series ‘Locke & Key’, which will soon be adapted into a live-action series premiering on Netflix.
NOS4A2 tells the story of Vic McQueen, a woman who has a special ability that allows her to find lost things. Her supernatural gift intertwines her fate with the vile and immortal Charlie Manx, who kidnaps children to feed on their souls. He disposes of what is left of the children into his imaginary place he calls “Christmas Land”, a place that Manx has conjured up in his imagination where every day is Christmas. Even though her gift takes a toll on her mind and body, Vic is determined to find the missing victims and defeat Manx.
Actress Ashleigh Cummings will play the role of Vic McQueen, while the evil and enigmatic Charlie Manx will be played by Zachary Quinto. Jami O’Brien, whose previous work includes AMC shows ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ and ‘Hell on Wheels’, will act as the showrunner and executive producer, while Joe Hill will also be onboard as Executive Producer.
Following the premiere of the trailer during WonderCon was the panel which included Jami O’Brien, Joe Hill, Ashleigh Cummings, Zachary Quinto, and fellow cast members Olafur Darri Olafsson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Jahkara Smith. NOS4A2 will premiere on AMC on June 2nd, right after the premiere of Season 5 of ‘Fear the Walking Dead.” AMC Premiere subscribers will be able to watch the entire first season as well on June 2nd.
