The Dirt trailer shows the dangerous, destructive side of Mötley Crüe
The new trailer for The Dirt, the upcoming Netflix biopic about the rise, fall, and re-rise of heavy metal live wires Mötley Crüe is here. While the tales of the 80’s most notorious big-haired metal bands are synonymous with their name, The Dirt will pull viewers into the wild side of every sybaritic backstage party, every eloquently trashed hotel room, and some of the low points in their career as well. The Dirt stars Jupiter Ascending’s Douglas Booth as Nikki Sixx, Game of Thrones‘ Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars, Bird Box’s Colson Baker — aka Machine Gun Kelly — as drummer Tommy Lee and Daniel Webber as frontman Vince Neil. Other cast members include SNL’s Pete Davidson and David Costabile as their manager, Doc McGhee.
The film is directed by Jackass and Bad Grandpa producer Jeff Tremaine and is produced by Julie Yorn, Erik Olsen, Allen Kovac. Additionally, Rick Yorn, Chris Nilsson, Steve Kline, Ben Ormand, Michelle Manning will all serve as executive producers.
The Dirt is based on Tommy Lee’s tell-all 2001 book The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band. The scripts were penned by Rich Wilkes, Amanda Adelson, and co-written by the band members of Mötley Crüe and Neil Strauss to shed new light on the same ol’ situation.
The film will be available to stream at your home sweet home starting March 22.
