FX says to expect more American Horror Story and American Crime Story

FX president John Landgraf has gone on the record saying that we’ll be seeing more seasons of both American Horror Story and American Crime Story in the near future. This news comes despite the fact that the co-creator of both, Ryan Murphy, is currently working with Netflix. According to a report from Deadline, Landgraf revealed at TCA that even though the company will soon become part of Disney, there’s no end in sight for either anthology series. However, the network won’t be revisiting Katrina, nor is there another Feud in the works at the moment.

Most of the regular American Horror Story cast members returned for the show’s eighth season, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Lily Rabe, Gabourey Sidibe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks; as well as franchise newcomers Joan Collins and Cody Fern. The multi-award-winning anthology series from co-creators Murphy and Brad Falchuk aired its seventh season on FX last year. The Twentieth Century Fox Television production was renewed for two more seasons back in the fall of 2018, carrying it through to season 10.

Murphy is also behind the acclaimed American Crime Story, along with executive producers Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk and Tom Rob Smith. The first installment, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, received 22 Emmy Award nominations and it won nine Emmys. It also won the Golden Globe, BAFTA, AFI, PGA, WGA and TCA awards and it was the most critically-acclaimed program of 2016. The second installment, The Assassination of Gianni Versace, aired last year.
