For many outside of Southern California, you may not recognize or know the station Alt 98.7. But for those of us living in the SoCal area, we know them quite well as one of the best Rock stations around. They’ve just announced a brand-new upcoming event called Big Adventure, and you’re going to want to be there! If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to go to Comic-Con, a comedy festival, and a music festival all at once, then Big Adventure is for you.
It’s an amalgamation of music, comedy, cosplay, gaming, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, and the list goes on. During the day, attendees can check out panels for television, movies, and comics as well as comedy shows from big comedians such as Patton Oswalt and Jim Jeffries. There’s also areas to check out tabletop and video games, comic-con exhibitors, and even an artist alley.
The fun doesn’t stop there because at night it all transforms into a whole other world. Panel areas will become dance floors for various DJ’s spinning, and there will be live bands playing like Modest Mouse and Phantagram. That’s not even counting special guests that haven’t been announced yet! Overall, this is shaping up to be one of the best events this year. This is all taking place on November 3rd and 4th at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa. If you happen to be in the are around this time, I highly suggest you check it out!
Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 13th at 10am PST. Single-day tickets start at $39.50, while single-day VIP Lounge and Festival Admission starts at $99.50. There’s also weekend passes that start at $69.50, and Weekend VIP Lounge and Festival Admission starting at $198.50. If you’re looking to get fancy, you can always opt for the Ultimate VIP Comedy & Panel Preferred Seating and VIP Lounge with Festival Admission, which will start at $249.50. As the festival dates get closer, prices will go up so definitely get your tickets sooner rather than later.
