Columbia Pictures’ Only the Brave opens in theaters today and tells the story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots. ComingSoon.net talked to Only the Brave cast members Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, Jennifer Connelly, James Badge Dale, and Taylor Kitsch, and we also chatted with Dierks Bentley, who co-wrote the song for the film. We also spoke to Brendan McDonough, one of the brave Granite Mountain Hotshots, as well as Pat McCarty, technical advisor for the film who worked with the Hotshots before the events of the tragic Yarnell fire. All men are created equal… then, a few become firefighters. As most of us run from danger, they run toward it – they watch over our lives, our homes, everything we hold dear, as they forge a unique brotherhood that comes into focus with one fateful fire.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy, Oblivion), the film features an ensemble cast of actors including Josh Brolin (Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2), Miles Teller (Whiplash, Fantastic Four), Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, Iron Man), James Badge Dale (Iron Man 3), Taylor Kitsch (John Carter, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse), and Jennifer Connelly (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Hulk).
