A few days ago, it was rumored on NeoGAF that Capcom was developing Marvel vs Capcom 4, and that the game could possibly be revealed at this year’s PlayStation Experience this weekend.
If Marvel vs Capcom 4 was in development, that would be huge, especially with many people in the fighting gaming community retweeting the news and excited whether or not the game was actually happening. However, not too very long after the post was made, Marvel vs Capcom 3 Director Ryota Niitsuma posted on Twitter, saying, “Thanks for keeping the love for the game going! I would love to make #MvC4, but nothing’s happening on that front.”

While the tweet from Ryota Niitsuma pretty much confirmed that the MVC4 was nothing more than a wishful rumor, it doesn’t end there. Polygon recently posted an article revealing that it had multiple sources confirm that Marvel vs. Capcom 4 is currently in development and will be revealed at the PlayStation Experience.
It’s been five years since Marvel vs. Capcom 3/Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 released in 2011. If the game is announced at the PlayStation Experience, could this mean that the game is going to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive like Street Fighter V?
If the rumors are in fact true, what characters would you like to see added to the game from either Marvel or Capcom?
