Last month, Koji Igarashi revealed that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night would be delayed until early 2018 in order to release the best game possible. In a recent update to backers, Igarashi had another piece of news, as he announced a new partnership with 505 Games who will now be publishing the title.
Iga thanks the backers who made the project possible and mentions that with this new partnership, it opens the door for to an even wider audience.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and possibly the Wii U and PlayStation Vita. Why do I say possibly on the Wii U? In a recent interview with IGN Igarashi talked about the delay doesn’t make sense for the Wii U as by 2018 it will be an irrelevant piece of hardware. This is because the NX will be released next year and it’s not known if there will still be support for the system. Of course, Igarashi isn’t ruling it out, after all backers did meet the stretch goals for the game to release on the Wii U and PS Vita but we can only wait to see what happens at this point.
