Written by David Golden, the film follows Katie Franklin (Mendes) as she takes a job as a caretaker to a wealthy elder man after losing her waitressing job. The two grow close in his empty Chicago estate and when he passes away he names Katie as his sole heir, pulling her and her husband Adam (Jessie T. Usher, The Boys) into a complex web of lies, deception and murder. If she’s going to survive, Katie will have to question everyone’s motives, including the people she loves.
Dangerous Lies is directed by Michael M. Scott and features a cast led by Mendes and Usher along with Jamie Chung (The Gifted), Cam Gigadent (Without Remorse), Sasha Alexander (Amazing Stories) and Elliott Gould (Ray Donovan).

Stephanie Slack is producing the project alongside Margret H. Huddleston, with Scott and Harvey Kahn attached as executive producers.
