Land, which Wright will also star in, and based on an original screenplay by Jesse Chatham and Liz Hannah, follows cosmopolitan lawyer Edee, who ventures off the grid and begins to train herself to survive in the wild. She learns “to hunt, fish and grow her own food as she faces brutal winters, a challenging landscape and local wildlife that could kill her at any moment.” Ultimately, she meets up with a First Nations local named Joseph, who forces her to confront her own personal demons.

Land will commence production this summer in British Columbia.

Allyn Stewart, Lora Kennedy, Big Beach co-founder Peter Saraf and Leah Holzer will produce, while Marc Turtletaub will executive produce for Big Beach with Cinetic Media’s John Sloss and Steve Farneth and Iron Circle Pictures’ Heather Rae.

Wright has starred in several iconic films of the last several decades, including The Princess Bride, Forrest Gump and the aforementioned Wonder Woman. She will next be seen in Wonder Woman 1984, reprising her role of Antiope.
