Playstation’s latest State of Play had some new trailers for upcoming PlayStation 4 games. There was the announce trailer for AWAY: The Survival Series, an animal-based adventure game featuring a sugar glider. Of course, the biggest one of all was the teaser trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake.
The teaser trailer gives gamers a look at the upgraded version of the classic PlayStation JRPG. Characters like Cloud, Aerith, Barret and Sephiroth all make an appearance in the highly anticipated remake. We also get a good look at the actual gameplay, and it’s ditching the turn-based combat from the original game.
The game has been in development for a while, with it being first announced at E3 2015. More information about Final Fantasy VII Remake will be revealed in June 2019, likely during E3 2019.
Final Fantasy VII synopsis: The game’s story follows Cloud Strife, a mercenary who joins an eco-terrorist organization to stop a world-controlling megacorporation from using the planet’s life essence as an energy source.
Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming soon to the PlayStation 4.
