With only six episodes for Game of Thrones last season, it will all be wrapped up in less than two months from its premiere date.

In the last season, Jon and Daenerys form a bond together and hope to prevent the onslaught of the Night Walkers. They ask for the aid of Cersei, but we know she’s got other plans in mind. We’ll find out soon if the alliance will be enough to wipe out the army of the dead.

David Benioff and D. B. Weiss are the showrunners for Game of Thrones, which is based on “A Song of Ice and Fire” books by George R. R. Martin. Season 8 will contain only six episodes, unlike the regular 10 episodes from the previous seasons and 7 episodes for season 7. Season 8 will be similar to season 7 since both seasons have continued on without a book for adapting. Martin is known for taking a long time to finish his books.

The series stars Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Liam Cunningham as Davos Seaworth, Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth, John Bradley as Samwell Tarly, Isaac Hempstead Wright as Bran Stark, Conleth Hill as Varys, Carice van Houten as Melisandre, Kristofer Hivju as Tormund Giantsbane, Hannah Murray as Gilly, Jerome Flynn as Bronn, Joe Dempsie as Gendry, Rory McCann as The Hound and Iain Glen as Jorah Mormont.

Game of Thrones will premiere April 14, 2019, on HBO.
