Charmed Season 1 Episode 14 Recap
In the previous episode of The CW’s Charmed, Galvin resolved to do whatever he could to remove the demon blood from Macy, and Niko worked with witch hunters to ambush Mel and Jada. In Charmed season 1 episode 14, Macy accidentally summoned the characters from a cheesy, supernatural TV show from the 90s.
Oh, Brother
Galvin had left to find the Chijiri. Macy seemed to be running out of time. She burned herself without feeling it, which was a manifestation of the demon in her. Macy wanted to destress so she took out one of Marisol’s oils, labelled “Escape”, and watched her favorite 90s show, Heaven’s Vice. The show featured two angel brothers, Levi and Gideon, who fought demons and loved a woman named Angelica. The Escape oil spilled onto the router and opened a portal that brought the brothers into their world.
Demons came through with them, and Macy used her knowledge of the show to vanquish them. She explained to Levi and Gideon that their world was a TV show. Before they were about to go back through the portal, Gideon threw Macy and Harry through, and it closed behind them. Macy and Harry communicated to Mel and Maggie through the show playing on Macy’s laptop. They only had fifteen minutes before the show’s series finale ended to get back to their world, or they would be stuck there forever. Macy rewrote the ending and chopped off the Devil’s horn. Harry stabbed the Devil with his own horn and killed him. Maggie and Mel were able to brew another Escape oil to open the portal and bring everyone back to where they belonged.
Witch Hunters
Niko was working with witch hunters. A pair of trust fund siblings were out for revenge on Jada, who had hexed their father into giving his money to charity. Under the premise of working with Niko, Mel and Jada took on the witch hunters. Jada showed Mel how to use a Time Wish to remove a spell-blocking ring from one of the hunters. Later, Mel used the Time Wish to help brew the Escape oil.
Jada told Mel about the Akkadian Smokescreen spell, which would’ve protected Niko but kept their relationship intact. It especially stung when Mel discovered Niko was engaged. Mel became increasingly distrustful of the Elders. When Macy wanted to ask Charity for help about her demoness, Mel wanted no part of it.
Sex Bomb
While Maggie and Parker were getting intimate, a light blast from her nether regions blew him across the room. She realized it was a manifestation of her fear of Parker hurting her again. When she expressed this to Parker, it reinforced his own fears. When they finally had sex, his shadowy ability brought them through the different floors of the house. They ended up in a rune filled chamber, and someone with a matching rune awoke.
