The new Dark Phoenix trailer is finally here to eviscerate worlds
The first trailer for Dark Phoenix showed a hint of what Jean Grey is capable of, but the new trailer goes all out in showing the destruction that she’s capable of. Now the X-Men are torn about what to do, as are Magneto and the rest of the Brotherhood of Mutants. You can check out the new Dark Phoenix trailer in the post below!
In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

Along with star Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Dark Phoenix will bring back much of the cast of the new films, which also includes Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Evan Peters (Quicksilver). Lamar Johnson of The Next Step has joined the cast in a mystery role and the mutant Dazzler will reportedly play a part in the film.
Simon Kinberg is writing and directing the film, marking his directorial debut, and will also produce alongside Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker. Dark Phoenix is set to open in theaters on June 7.
