“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” is a wildly popular anime on Crunchyroll, garnering a lot of positive reviews from its community. To celebrate its success, Crunchyroll has announced that it is collaborating with Good Smile Company and NextNinja to launch a crossover event between Grand Summoners (A top grossing RPG in Japan) and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
Grand Summoners is a multiplayer-based RPG that has a heavy focus on co-op strategy battles, rich gameplay, and blockbuster storylines based on anime. Previous collaborations with Grand Summoners include other popular animes such as “One Punch Man”, “Golden Kamuy”, and “Kill La Kill.” During the crossover event, which will run from February 14th to March 31st, will let players summon famous characters from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
Some of the characters available will include Rimuru Tempest, Demon Lord “Milim Nava”, Samurai General of the Ogres “BeniMaru”, and iconic slime-form Rimuru. This epic crossover event will give fans hours and hours of fast-paced and competitive gameplay, four exclusive playable characters, crossover-themed equipment, and an original storyline.
This crossover event will mark the first time that characters from “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” will appear in a mobile game. Die-hard fans of the manga and anime will be able to receive a collection of rewards over the course of the event. They will also be guaranteed one playable crossover character (slime-form Rimuru) if they complete all the limited-time crossover story missions.
After this weekend’s Anime Awards show, fans of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will be able to participate and enjoy social activations and themed quizzes, which can be found on Crunchyroll’s Twitter, Facebook, and all Crunchyroll Games social accounts. Grand Summoners is available now for download on both iOS and Android platforms. The game is published by Good Smile company and developed by NextNinja. Crunchyroll airs new episodes of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime every Monday at 8:30 pm PT. The Crunchyroll Anime Awards will be streaming exclusively on Twitch starting at 6 PM PT, in which the character Rimuru Tempest is nominated for “Best Protagonist.”
