Captain Marvel has been getting some flak from angry fans due to her comments about white men. This even resulted in them giving negative “reviews” on Rotten Tomatoes. Now that the social media embargo has lifted, what do the critics think? Well, they are pretty positive with quotes like “Totally Awesome,” “Retro and trippy,” “A unique and fresh take on an origin story,” and “Captain Marvel absolutely soars.” Some say that the cat and the villain are scene stealers.

We Live Entertainment’s Scott Menzel says the movie feels very different compared to other Marvel films with a fresh take on an origin story.
