Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Episode 7 Recap
In the previous episode of NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Jake and Rosa teamed up to find a murderer. In Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 6 episode 7, Jake helped Holt find a new assistant, but the prospective employee could be a honeypot.
NASTY
When Holt immediately dismissed his new assistant, Jake convinced him to let him find a new one. Afterall, he did find Gina. When Holt agreed, Jake found Gordon Lunt. He was seemingly perfect for Holt. Like Holt, he spoke dryly and matter-of-factly. Holt believed that Gordon was flirting with him, though Jake didn’t see it.
Jake came to believe that Gordon was a honeypot that Commissioner Kelly was using to spy on them. He found Gordon in a picture of the 36th precinct. For their counterspy mission, Holt took Gordon to a barrel museum, while Jake examined the contents of his laptop.
TRIPLE DRAGON
Gordon came to Holt and confessed. Kelly had sent him to spy on Holt to find out which officers he was turning against him. However, Gordon had fallen in love with Holt at the barrel museum. He agreed to double-cross Kelly and wear a wire.
Unfortunately, Gordon triple-crossed them and showed Kelly the wire. When Jake and Holt confronted Kelly, he revealed the plan and how it would affect Holt’s career. Thankfully, Holt had anticipated the twist and loaded the restaurant with bugs and cameras. Commissioner Kelly relented and opened the first floor of the Nine-Nine. The second floor was no longer a chaotic mess.
Munkensmat
Terry tasked Amy with organizing and cleaning up the Nine-Nine. She decided to implement the Konmari method. Everyone thanked their possessions but insisted they all brought them joy. Amy had to push them harder to get rid of their stuff. They would use the Munkensmat method where they had to get rid of everything but one possession. Except for that one thing, everything would need to be incinerated. Traditionally, an archer would shoot a flaming arrow. Of course, Rosa had a bow with her.
After they burned all their things, Amy wanted to take a picture of Terry’s desk to submit to Organizer’s Quarterly. She found a pair of suspenders still in the box that Terry had secretly kept. He explained he had bought them when he took the lieutenant’s exam. When he didn’t pass, he kept them for when he eventually would. He no longer believed he would pass the exam, so he threw them in the trash. Amy apologized and allowed them to keep their things in the office again. She got Terry new suspenders and encouraged him to take the exam again.
