Set to be directed by Juel Taylor (Creed II) and co-written by Taylor and Tony Rettenmaier, the film will be produced by MACRO with the plot details currently being kept under wraps, but the tone is described as in the same vein of Jordan Peele’s Get Out.

Henry has been in the film and TV industries for over 10 years now, but it wasn’t until 2016 that he found his big break with one of the lead roles in Donald Glover’s acclaimed FX comedy Atlanta as rapper Paper Boi, for which he’s earned numerous award nominations, including the Primetime Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, losing to Henry Winkler for his performance in Barry.

The next year was another big year for Henry as he landed supporting roles in independent films including the well-received biopic Crown Heights, as well as guest appearances in the HBO comedy series Vice Principals and the acclaimed NBC drama This Is Us, which also earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series, losing to Gerald McRaney for his appearance in the same series.

Last year was Henry’s most successful yet as he appeared in the highly acclaimed second season of Atlanta, along with roles in six movies, including the ensemble sci-fi actioner Hotel Artemis, the Matthew McConaughey-led biopic White Boy Rick, and the acclaimed romantic drama If Beale Street Could Talk, which is nominated for three Oscars, the well-received heist thriller Widows and the smash animated comic book hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which earned the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature and is nominated for the Oscar of the same category.

He will next be seen in the upcoming remake of the slasher classic Child’s Play alongside Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), which is set to hit theaters on June 21, the mystery thriller The Woman in the Window, which is slated for an October 4 release, the Melissa McCarthy-led action comedy Super Intelligence, expected to premiere Christmas Day, and Godzilla vs. Kong, which is currently filming in Hawaii and Australia and is slated for a May 22, 2020 release.
