PRIDE

Runaways Season 2 Episode 6

Jonah tells the members of PRIDE that he chose them for their abilities to get him back into his ship and off this planet. In two days, they’ll be rid of him if they can just do their jobs. If they can’t, Jonah threatens to kill their kids. Dale and Stacey are still concerned about the ship causing an earthquake that will destroy the city and possibly the state. Jonah assures them that there won’t be an earthquake. As a bonus, he’ll leave them the Abstract, fully decoded, so that they can actually solve the world’s problems.

Dale and Stacey go to Janet, who has already started decoding the Abstract. They’re torn between wanting to believe Jonah’s promises and between believing the data. Janet tells them it doesn’t matter because with Victor’s help, she’s going to keep Jonah’s ship from going anywhere. She frees Victor from the algorithm, convinced that he hasn’t needed it for a while now, and tells him it’s time to get to work stopping Jonah.

Meanwhile, Frank and Leslie tell Jonah that they’re finished finding sacrifices for him. If he needs another sacrifice, he’ll have to go get it himself. No longer needing the Wilders–as he has the dig site now–Jonah stalks Geoffrey. Jonah renders him unconscious, and places Geoffrey in the box as the latest victim.

Runaways

Runaways Season 2 Episode 6

Janet tells the kids about Jonah’s plans to make another sacrifice, and they move into action to stop him. At the Church, Karolina distracts the crowd with a light show while the others enter Jonah’s chambers. The process has already begun, but the team works together to stop the transfer and they free Geoffrey from the box. Chase sees his father in his cell and wants to free him as well, but the kids are concerned that cell is the only thing keeping Victor alive and that tampering with it might kill him. For the second time that day, Chase has to say goodbye to one of his parents.

Back at the mansion, Alex wakes Geoffrey, who is bound to a chair. When Geoffrey says that Alex saved him, Alex corrects his father by stating that he kidnapped him. Gert apologizes to Chase, but he isn’t able to accept her apology. Karolina comes clean to Nico, both about meeting Jonah and about the fact that Jonah was the one who killed Amy. However, Nico’s simmering expression of rage suggests that she hasn’t forgiven Karolina even as she embraces her.
