Leslie confronts Frank about swiping the Church out from underneath her. Frank says it was the only way he could stay relevant. He hates Jonah as much as the rest of them, but remaining in Jonah’s good graces is the only way to get Leslie and Karolina back.

Jonah visits Victor in the algorithm and tells him to hurry up with the box building. Victor is tired of being trapped and tells Jonah that he quits. Jonah calls Janet for help in dealing with Victor. Janet says that Victor and Jonah are too much alike. She needs to talk to Victor alone. Projected inside the algorithm, Janet tells Victor to go along with Jonah for now and uses Victor’s knowledge to crack Jonah’s password in deciphering The Abstract, revealing a star map.

Alex has gotten comfortable in Compton and with Livvie. Darius, meanwhile, delivers Alex to Geoffrey in exchange for the site that PRIDE is drilling on. She shoots Darius and implicates him in the murder investigation, taking the heat off of the kids.

Nico’s proposed training exercise goes bad in a hurry. Molly sleeps through it after being out all night. Chase has fixed the fistigons, but still can’t control them. Gert is in pain and withdrawal without her meds. Nico is still figuring out the staff, getting it to work one minute and not the next. Only Karolina shows any real mastery over her abilities.

The team springs into action when Alex calls Nico. She overhears that Geoffrey is taking Alex to the airport to get him away. The kids hotwire the car Chase has been restoring and ambush Geoffrey at the airport, freeing Alex. Back at the team’s base, Nico asks Alex why he called her. Alex says that she’s still #1 on his speed dial. Nico asks where Alex has been and the two bond over video games while Alex tells her all about his adventures over the past few days in Compton and about Livvie.

The good times are short-lived. Molly goes back out on the street and deals with the same pimp again, only this time someone is in the alley watching. When Molly returns to the lair, Gert berates Molly for going out alone and looking for trouble. The guy hiding in the alley follows Molly in, announcing that he likes their set up. He introduces himself to the group as Topher.
