Crazy Rich Asians’ Constance Wu to star in rom-com for Screen Gems
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians) is negotiating to star in an untitled romantic comedy for Screen Gems. GLOW actress Kimmy Gatewood will helm the film based on a script by Savion Einstein.

Per the report, the story follows a “charmingly chaotic woman who has to get her life together when she becomes pregnant with two babies from two different men” via a rare process called superfecundation.
This will mark the third project Wu has in development since the popular Crazy Rich Asians film, with the others being the animated film Wish Dragon and Low Budget Ethnic Movie from director Daniel Yoon. Wu rose to fame on ABC’s popular Fresh Off the Boat comedy. Crazy Rich Asians was a certified hit with over $173 million collected to date.
Gatewood is making her directorial debut with the untitled comedy, but she will forever be remembered for his role in the wrestling dreamed GLOW.
