Filmmaker Justin Lin has inked a deal with Apple for an exclusive overall TV development pact. According to Variety, Lin’s Perfect Storm Entertainment banner will create content exclusively for Apple’s upcoming streaming service.

Lin’s current contract with Sony Pictures TV is coming to an end, where his banner has created three drama series for CBS, Scorpion, S.W.A.T., and the reboot of Magnum P.I. His upcoming series Warrior is set to premiere on Cinemax sometime in 2019. His move to Apple shows that the tech giant is fully committed to developing a vast array of original programming.

Lin has helmed a number of The Fast and the Furious films for the big screen, starting with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift back in 2006. He also helmed Fast & Furious in 2009, Fast Five in 2011, Fast and Furious 6 in 2013, and is currently working on Fast & Furious 9, which is set to open in 2020. He’s also rumored to be directing the 10th installment, though that’s not been officially confirmed.

On the small screen, he’s helmed episodes of the cult classic Community, the second season of True Detective, as well as a handful episodes of the series he helped create for CBS.
