State Like Sleep trailer: Katherine Waterston stars in the mystery thriller
The Orchard Movies has released the official State Like Sleep trailer for the upcoming mystery thriller, written and directed by visual artist and filmmaker Meredith Danluck (North of South, West of East) Check out the trailer now below!
The film centers on a woman named Katherine (Katherine Waterston), who struggles with the truth to unanswered questions surrounding her celebrity husband’s (Michiel Huisman) double life after he commits suicide. One year after her husband’s death, Katherine receives an unsettling phone call that forces her to revisit the past.

The all-star cast includes Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts franchise, Alien: Covenant), Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals, The Shape of Water), Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast, The Alienist), Michiel Huisman (The Haunting of Hill House, Game of Thrones), and Mary Kay Place ().
“Meredith has written a powerful and mesmerizing script, filled with rich and complex characters and Eddie has brought together an impressive all-star cast to bring this story alive. We are elated to share this project with our buyers,” said Fortitude International’s Nadine de Barros when the project was first announced earlier this year.
Eddie Vaisman (Big Sur, In a World) and P. Jennifer Dana (It Follows, The Art of Getting By) are producing.
State Like Sleep will arrive on Digital and On Demand on January 1, 2019, and in select theaters on January 4, 2019.
