Charmed Season 1 Episode 6 Recap

In the previous episode of The CW’s Charmed, the Charmed Ones performed a spell to rewrite history so that Mel and Niko had never met, Maggie was kicked out of Kappa, and Galvin had a mysterious mark on him. Charmed season 1 episode 6 began with Maggie and Macy getting Mel out of bed.

Mojito Night

Charmed Season 1 Episode 6 Recap

Mel spent days in bed after they performed the spell. She was mourning the loss of her relationship with Niko and researching the pattern found on Marisol and the other dead women. It was a Lichtenberg figure pattern commonly found on people who were struck by lightning. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of demons associated with lightning and electricity.

After a confrontation with Maggie at The Haunt during Mojito Night, Lucy was trying to find her Zen. She found a candle, lit it, and something floated through the room.

Ibi

At the lab, Dr. Gregorian told Macy new ownership required a blood sample for drug tests. Galvin reluctantly invited her to his birthday party. Galvin told Macy about his family history in Haiti after she found a picture of his grandmother. After some research, Macy discovered that the Yoruba religion had marks placed on infants for protection. She saw a Yoruba priestess, Mama Roz, who told her the protection was against Ibi, or darkness, and since she could see it, it was from the Ibi in her. Mama Roz gave Macy a cryptic clue, leading her to find a key hidden in the pillar of the Vera house. At the end of the episode, the Shapeshifter stole Macy’s blood and killed Dr. Gregorian.

The Treacherous Friend

Charmed Season 1 Episode 6 Recap

When Maggie went to the Kappa house, a new pledge, Brenda Mancini, dressed in ’80s garb was there with Lucy. She discovered that the new pledge had died years ago. Maggie and Mel cast a spell that inadvertently brought them to Hilltowne University in the ’80s. They watched as a Kappa sister, Jenna Gordonson, humiliated Brenda. They also witnessed Marisol, pregnant with Macy, expressing concern over her baby.

Maggie and Mel found Jenna, who told them that Brenda wasn’t bullied. She was the bully. She had gotten drunk, climbed onto the roof, and tried to hang a sign to humiliate the Kappas when she fell and died. A string of similar deaths occurred ever since.

They found Lucy on the roof with Brenda, who was trying to get her to jump. When she did, Mel froze her, and Brenda tried to break her concentration. When Lucy was safe on the ground, she went after Maggie. Maggie acknowledged that what Lucy needed was space and apologized for not giving it to her. When Lucy accepted what Maggie had said, Brenda was gone.

Back at the house, Mel and Macy were trying to help Maggie feel better about missing the Kappa initiation. They held their own initiation to the Vera Vera Vaughn sisterhood and initiated Maggie and Harry, who was moving out of the Vera house.
