American Horror Story: Apocalypse Episode 10 Recap
In the previous episode of American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Michael jumpstarted the nuclear apocalypse, killed all of the witches and installed Ms. Venable as head of an Outpost. What does this final installment have in store? Let’s find out as we recap American Horror Story: Apocalypse episode 10 ‘Apocalypse Then!’
Final Preparations
Myrtle went and attempted to get a meeting with the Co-Operative scientists, but Ms. Venable was resistant to the idea until Myrtle used magic to hypnotize her. Myrtle learned the location of Outpost 3 and convinced the scientists to allow Coco and Mallory to be placed in that Outpost. She left and killed the scientists on her way out. Myrtle returned to the hideout and told the other surviving witches about the Outpost and her plan. Cordelia placed both Coco and Mallory under an identity spell, and the pair were dropped off at Mr. Gallant’s salon by Madison. Madison returned to Cordelia and Myrtle and told them about an ad for Dinah’s new talk show she spotted. Madison wanted to kill Dinah, but Cordelia refused to allow it as that action would alert Michael to their presence in the outpost.
First Casualties
Back in the present timeline, where the apocalypse has happened and the witches have revealed themselves to Michael, Dinah refused to help the witches initially. Michael offered to spare the witches’ lives in exchange for their fealty to him. Cordelia had freed Marie Louveau, Dinah’s sister, from the clutches of Papa Legba in exchange for Dinah’s soul. Cordelia quickly caused Ms. Mead to explode, momentarily distracting Michael. Madison grabbed the assault rifle arm from the exploded Ms. Mead and managed to kill Michael’s physical form. Madison remained behind to slow down Michael, while the rest of the witches tried to escape the outpost. Mallory was stabbed by Coco’s boyfriend, and Michael returned, before quickly popping Madison’s head like a balloon.
The Power of a Supreme
Cordelia and Myrtle carried Mallory’s body out of the outpost, while Marie tried to use voodoo to slow down Michael. Sadly, he easily overpowered her, but he was stabbed in the back by Coco while he was busy with Marie. Michael ripped out Marie’s heart, ate it and dispatched Coco. Cordelia and Myrtle tried to use a healing spell on Mallory, but it was to no avail as Mallory seemingly died. Cordelia stabbed and killed herself causing all of her Supreme powers to flow into Mallory and Mallory quickly activated the time travel spell. Back in time, at the Murder House, Constance Langdon grew frustrated with the constant murders being committed by Michael and kicked him out of the house. On his way across the street, Mallory managed to run Michael over repeatedly which ended up killing him. At Miss Robichaux’s, Mallory transferred Michael’s soul into a butterfly and the entire apocalypse was averted. In the future, Timothy and Emily meet, fall in love and have a child. Their child began to exhibit the same proclivities that Michael had.
