American Horror Story: Apocalypse Episode 6 Recap

In the previous episode of American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Michael Langdon was appointed the next Supreme and Cordelia sent Madison and a warlock to the Murder House. What does this next installment have in store? Let’s find out as we recap American Horror Story: Apocalypse episode 6 ‘Return to Murder House’!

First Contact

Madison and her companion arrived at the Murder House and began to attempt to converse with the spirits trapped inside. The duo performed a spell and made contact with the spirits. Madison and Chablis walked into a conversation between Ben Harmon and Tate Langdon (Michael’s father). Next, Madison and Chablis met Billie Dean Howard, a medium, and Constance Langdon (Michael’s grandmother). Moira, the maid, informed Constance that she had finished dusting, and the two then promptly traded barbs over their failed lives.

Questioning The Dead

Madison and Chablis asked Constance and Billie about Michael. Constance refused to give them any answers unless they kicked Moira out of the house. Madison and Chablis found Moira’s bones buried in the backyard and they took them to Moira. They asked her were she wished to be buried, and she chose the cemetery where her mother was buried. Madison went and buried Moira’s bones in the cemetery and Moira’s spirit was freed from the Murder House.

Secrets Revealed

Madison went and informed Constance of Moira’s relocation and immediately began to ask about Michael. Constance told them about Michael’s birth in the House. Constance confessed that after Michael’s mother died in childbirth, that she took over parenting Michael. She talked about Michael liked to torture flies, rodents and other small creatures in his childhood. She then talked about how at the age of 3, Michael violently murdered his babysitter. Constance then revealed that Michael had aged about a decade in a single night and was suddenly a teenager. Michael nearly strangled Constance in her sleep, but he seemed to be being controlled by an outside force. Constance called a priest to perform an exorcism on Michael, but Michael killed the priest before he could do anything.

Personal Responsibility

Michael had visited the Murder House on a nearly daily basis, to visit and talk with Ben. Ben noted that Michael seemed to have a very high IQ and he was attempting to become a good person. All was going well, until Michael was confronted by his father, Tate, who told that Michael that he hated him. Michael also showed the ability to permanently destroy spirits. Vivian, Ben’s wife, was next in line for questioning. Vivian relayed that she had a vision of Satan himself rising from the depths of Hell and ruling the Earth. A trio of Satanists arrived at the House and told Michael that he was the Anti-Christ incarnate. They also said that the Murder House was built over a portal to Hell. The Satanists performed a ritual that involved Michael eating a human heart, and Michael was revealed to truly be the son of Satan.
