Producer Bryan Cogman inks an exclusive deal with Amazon

Game of Thrones producer Bryan Cogman has inked an exclusive deal with Amazon. Cogman is set to produce a number of original series for their Amazon Prime streaming service.

I couldn’t be more thrilled and honored to start the next phase of my career with Amazon. I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to start writing,” said Cogman of the deal.

Albert Cheng, Co-Head Television at Amazon Studios echoes Cogman’s sentiment, saying that they were “proud to be in business with Bryan, who has written some of the most memorable and exhilarating television in recent history. His storytelling prowess is undeniable, and we cannot wait to introduce his voice to our Prime Video audience.”

Cogman, who started as an assistant on HBO’s sword and sorcery epic, quickly rose through the ranks, and penned some of the series’ most pinnacle episodes, including “Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things,” “What is Dead May Never Die,” and last season’s “Stormborn.” He’s also writing and producing for the show’s upcoming eighth and final season.

Amazon’s original series currently include Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Homecoming from Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, and the third season of The Man in the High Castle.
