NBC Developing Comedy Series Business as Usual with Lord & Miller

NBC developing comedy series Business as Usual with Lord & Miller

Variety reports that NBC are currently developing a new single camera comedy project titled Business as Usual with 21 Jump Street‘s Phil Lord and Chris Miller set to executive produce the series through their Lord Miller Productions banner.

Business as Usual was written by Family Guy‘s Hayes Davenport who will also serve as executive producer for the show. The story was described as comedy about everyday employees at a company in crisis, trying to keep their jobs and maintain their relationships as their workplace goes insane.

According to outlet’s source, the comedy project has garnered a significant interest with multiple networks trying to acquire its rights but NBC was the network that prevailed through the bidding war. Twentieth Century Fox Television is expected to produce the project. Lord Miller Productions’ Aubrey Lee will be the one overseeing the project.

Lord and Miller is best known for producing film projects such as: The Lego Movie starring Chris Pratt (untitled Avengers 4), Will Ferrell, Charlie Day and Elizabeth Banks; and the latest installment to the Star Wars series, Solo which starred Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Donald Glover (Atlanta), Thandie Newton (Westworld) and Woody Harrelson.
