Wayward Sisters will all return in Supernatural season 14
The Wayward Sisters spinoff from Supernatural writers Robert Berens and Andrew Dabb and executive producer Robert Singer didn’t take hold at The CW — who instead added five new series to the network that were all created by women with existing writing and producing experience for the The CW — but Entertainment Weekly has confirmed fans can expect to see all of the girls return in multiple episodes for Supernatural’s 14th season.
Dabb, the showrunner for Supernatural, told the outlet that they have figured out a way to include all of the Wayward Sisters characters — Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes), Donna Hanscum (Briana Buckmaster), Claire Novak (Kathryn Newton), Alex Jones (Katherine Ramdeen), Patience Tuner (Clark Backo), Kaia Nieves (Yadira Guevara Prip) — into the upcoming season, including maybe receiving some answers to the open-ended questions the backdoor pilot that aired in season 13 left us. For example, what happened to Kaia’s murderous doppelganger that came into our world from the bad place?
“All of the characters are going to make their return one way or the other. We have found a way to fold [them] organically into the plot line, and some of the hanging chads from the pilot last year ended up dovetailing nicely with some of the stuff Michael’s looking to do, and some of the stuff that’s going on in our world just generally. It all folds together pretty well, but they’ll definitely be in multiple episodes this season,” Dabb said.
Supernatural follows brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester. The thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester brothers continues in Supernatural‘s 14th season. Sam and Dean have spent their lives on the road, battling supernatural threats that include everything from the demon that killed their mother to the usual vampires, ghosts, shape-shifters, angels and fallen gods rampaging over the land. They’ve come out on top with the help of allies, both human and supernatural, but every victory comes at a price.
Supernatural season 14 is set to return on Thursday, October 11, on The CW.
