Robin voice actor doesn’t approve of ‘F*** Batman’ line in DC’s Titans trailer

DC’s Titans is an upcoming live-action series featuring young DC characters like Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy and Raven. A trailer premiered during San Diego Comic-Con 2018, and it was met with controversy due to a line from Dick Grayson, aka Robin. In the trailer, a thug asks about the whereabouts of Batman, and Robin replies with “F*** Batman.” Loren Lester, who voiced Robin in the classic Batman: The Animated series, isn’t keen on the edgier take.

“Yeah, that’s not cool,” Lester tells Nerd Reactor. “Nightwing would punch Batman, but he would never drop the f-bomb on him. No way.”

Batman: The Animated Series is coming soon to Blu-ray, and it’ll feature lots of featurettes and a new full-length documentary. Lester has shared his excitement about the upcoming release.

“I’m going to be watching all 109 episodes,” said Lester. “Absolutely. It’s also going to have SubZero and Mask of the Phantasm. And there’s an hour-long documentary on there that I’m looking forward to seeing too –  that all of us were interviewed for.”

Batman: The Animated Series Blu-ray will release on October 16 with high-def episodes.

A Deluxe Limited Edition will retail for $112.99 and will be limited to 30,000. Three mini Funko figures (Batman, Harley Quinn, and the Joker) and seven exclusive lenticular art cards will be included.
