Caleb Landry Jones reteams with Jarmusch in The Dead Don’t Die

Variety is reporting that on-set photos obtained by The Daily Mail show that Caleb Landry Jones has joined the cast of The Dead Don’t Die, a zombie film featuring an all-star cast including Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Selena Gomez, Adam Driver and Steve Buscemi.

This will be a return to the supernatural undead genre for Caleb Landry Jones as well as a reunion with Swinton and writer-director Jim Jarmusch (Broken Flowers, Paterson), as he previously starred alongside the British actress in Jarmusch’s 2013’s vampire film Only Lovers Left Alive. He is likely best known for his role as Jeremy, the lacrosse stick wielding, jiujitsu loving racist brother in Get Out, though he recently played Red in the Oscar nominated Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri.

Very little is known about the plot of the film, including whether or not it is in any way related to the 1975 zombie concerning TV movie of the same name.

For fans hoping for more of what made Bill Murray’s Zombieland cameo great, it should be noted that he has already confirmed he will not be playing a zombie. Earlier set photos from the Daily Mail show he will be playing a police officer named Robertson. No release date has been set for the film.
