If you’re looking to test your battling talents against tough competition around the world, join the action of Rating Battle Season 10. The Rating Battle leaderboards reset at the beginning of each season so everyone can start on equal footing. As you battle, you’ll move up and down the rankings based on your match outcomes. Rating Battle Season 10 began on May 15, 2018, at 0:00 (UTC), so it’s the perfect time to jump in on fun battles and new challenges.
Rating Battles are available in Pokémon Ultra Sun, Pokémon Ultra Moon, Pokémon Sun, and Pokémon Moon, but please note that Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon battles will be ranked separately from Pokémon Sun andPokémon Moon battles. Also, Pokémon and moves introduced
in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon may not be used in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Rating Battles.
The Special format for this season will be played using Inverse Double Battle rules. In Inverse Battles, the typical type weaknesses and resistances are reversed—for example, Water-type Pokémon are weak to Fire-type attacks. This is the first opportunity to participate in Inverse Battles in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. You’ll create a team of up to six Pokémon, but only two Pokémon will enter each battle. You may include any Pokémon from the National Pokédex, with the exception of Mythical Pokémon and some Legendary Pokémon. Pokémon brought in from previous games via Poké Transporter will be permitted.
Remember that you’ll need a Pokémon Trainer Club account and your own copy of Pokémon Ultra Sun, Pokémon Ultra Moon, Pokémon Sun, or Pokémon Moon registered at the Pokémon Global Link to participate.
