Jennifer Aniston and Tig Notaro to star in Netflix’s First Ladies

Jennifer Aniston is set to play America’s first female president in Netflix‘s upcoming political comedy First Ladies with Tig Notaro (One Mississippi) starring as her wife.

First Ladies centers on Beverly and Kasey Nicholson, America’s first female President and her wife, the First Lady, in a story that promises to show that behind every great woman is another great woman.

The film was written by Notaro and Stephanie Allynne based on their original pitch. Notaro and Allynne are also producing alongside Aniston, Adam McKay, Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Betsy Koch for Gloria Sanchez Productions. Chris Henchy serves as executive producer.

First Ladies expands Notaro’s relationship with Netflix with her original comedy special Tig Notaro Happy to Be Here debuting on the streamer on May 22. She is also directing Ellen DeGeneres’ upcoming Netflix original comedy special.

Coming up, Aniston is set to star opposite Adam Sandler in the comedy Murder Mystery for Netflix and just finished production on the comedy musical drama Dumplin’ starring Danielle Macdonald, Luke Benward, and directed by Anne Fletcher.
