198X Kickstarter update - Legendary composer Yuzo Koshiro joins the team

Legendary video game composer Yuzo Koshiro returns to his chip-based roots with brand new, retro-inspired music for ”198X”.

Yuzo Koshiro is the composer behind such classic video game soundtracks as ”Streets of Rage”, ”The Revenge of Shinobi”, ”Actraiser” and ”Ys”. He's been hailed as ”the greatest game-music composer of the 16-bit era” and ”the king of FM synthesis chiptune music”.

– Creating a new game inspired by the 16-bit classics, and having the one and only Yuzo Koshiro compose the music, is literally a dream come true, says Tobias Bjarneby, director of ”198X” at Hi-Bit Studios.
