- Pokemon Company will be hosting a livestream to commemorate the launch of Detective Pikachu in Japan
- will be streamed from NicoNico’s headquarters at Ikebukuro on May 3, 2018
- hosted by Yuuma Aoki and features guests Yuuma Ichida and the Detective Pikachu mascot
“Let’s Play with Pikachu” event
- scheduled to be held at Hokkaido’s Obihiro City Fujimaru department store
- will feature various free and paid activities
- this includes Pokemon Kids Carnival (each activity in this carnival costs 300 yen), Pokemon Bingo (costs 500 yen), and Pikachu Meet and Greet (free of charge)
- takes place from May 3 to May 6, 2018, from 10am to 7pm daily
Pokemon Times Japanese Twitter account launched

- celebrating the launch with a giveaway featuring Pikachu’s Closet costumes and a Pikachu’s Closet plush
