Katee Sackhoff to star in sci-fi drama series Another Life

Deadline reports that Netflix has given a 10-episode order to the sci-fi drama series Another Life, with Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) set to star. The series was created by Aaron Martin (Slasher, Saving Hope), who will serve as showrunner.

Another Life centers on astronaut Niko Breckinridge (Sackhoff), who is focused on searching for alien intelligence. She leads a crew on a mission to explore the genesis of an alien artifact. As Niko and her young crew investigate, they face unimaginable danger on what might very well be a one-way mission.

Halfire Entertainment (Alias Grace) will produce with Noreen Halpern (Rookie Blue, Haven) executive producing.

Sackhoff is best known for her role as Captain Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace on the hit space drama Battlestar Galactica, which premiered in 2004. Recently, Sackhoff starred as female lead Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti in the popular drama Longmire which originally aired on A&E. After its cancellation, Netflix picked up Longmire for its final three seasons, marking Another Life as a reunion between Sackhoff and Netflix. Her other credits include The CW’s The Flash, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Riddick.
