Paramount announces Saving Private Ryan Ultra HD Blu-ray release

To most moviegoers, Saving Private Ryan is one of the best war films ever made. The imagery, story, and characters come together in perfect harmony to tell a tale about heroism in World War II. Believe it or not, this year marks the 20th (!) anniversary of the film. So to celebrate, Paramount will be dropping a brand new Ultra HD Blu-ray release on May 8th.

Not only will the film come with 4K resolution but the film will also come with Dolby Vision/HDR as well. And if the Ultra HD part isn’t enough, the new release will also come with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack too. This is a huge deal because many audiophiles still use their Saving Private Ryan Blu-ray as a reference for their sound system. So to all the audiophiles out there, this release is for you. Don’t worry though, if you don’t have Dolby Atmos then this release will also come with the original 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack.
