Netflix’s ‘Mute’ poster gets the film-noir treatment

We are excited to hear more and more information that continues to pour out about Netflix’s upcoming cyberpunk project, Mute. The film has been gaining popularity for its unique and fun look, while garnering a stellar cast, including Alexander Skarsgård, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux. Seriously, this movie looks awesome, doesn’t it? Well, it actually gets better!

Duncan Jones, director of previous films such as Warcraft and Source Code, as well as this film, had some really awesome stuff up his sleeve earlier today. While dropping news on his Twitter page about his other projects, as well as other news from the streaming service, Netflix, he also began to leave hints about one other big surprise: a poster reveal. Jones lead his followers on a breadcrumb trail that meandered through the introduction of the incredible comic book artist Paolo Rivera and his work. The big reveal came when Jones posted his latest beautiful poster created by Rivera, and this work of art does not disappoint! Check it out:

The poster oozes of the film genre that sits at the heart of Mute. Film noir, the genre that was birthed from the crime dramas of the ’40s and ’50s, carries a sultry, seductive tone, and this poster encapsulates it, completely.

What do you think of the poster? Are you excited to see the film? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
