I Kill Giants is an epic yet grounded tale of a quirky, precocious child beset by larger-than-life monsters within and without. Barbara Thorson, played by Madison Wolfe (The Conjuring 2, Joy), escapes from the maddening circumstances of reality into her Dungeons & Dragons-inspired fantasies where she has a goal, a purpose – to kill giants.

This obsession threatens to manifest in real life, and only makes it harder for Barbara’s adult sister Karen, played by Imogen Poots (Roadies, Green Room), to take care of her and her brother. School psychologist Mrs. Mollé, played by Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy, Avatar), attempts to reach out to the young girl and help her cope with her troubles.
I Kill Giants is based on an award-winning graphic novel of the same name, written by Joe Kelly and illustrated by Ken Niimura. The film is directed by Academy Award winner Anders Walter, marking this as his full-length feature film directorial debut. It is based on the screenplay written by Joe Kelly himself.
