Disc Jam’s Biggest Update Ever Serves Up Ranked Leagues and Ghost Arcade Next Week

Disc Jam
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Feb. 2, 2018 - Next week, in addition to launching Disc Jam on Nintendo Switch™ on February 8, High Horse Entertainment will release the game’s biggest update ever, landing on all its platforms, including PC and PS4. Not only will this update bring about numerous bug fixes to the game’s already-tight multiplayer action, but it will serve up two new modes, a new character, updated visuals, and an even smoother online experience, making this the perfect time to get in on the jam.

Catering to Disc Jam’s passionate competitive community, Ranked Leagues will pit competitors against each other in heated online matches as they rise through the ranks of the Universal Federation of Disc. Gunning for the coveted Elite rank, players will come face-to-face with fierce opponents that’ll push their skills to the max. And since competition is nothing without flashy, exclusive rewards, each Season will add brand new cosmetic items to the game’s player customization roster.

But why should Ranked players have all the fun? Solo players will also get the chance to flex their competitive muscles with Ghost Arcade, a gauntlet of ever-increasing difficulty. Rather than pitting players against predictable AIs, Ghost Arcade’s challengers take the form of real players’ ghost data, drawing upon their unique behaviours. Say “JammerGerry88” is a lobbing machine in-game. Well, you better believe their ghost will put your ability to return lobs to the test. Not only does this offer up offline matches that finally match the intensity of high-level competitive play, but coupled with the portability of Nintendo Switch, players can hone their skills against the best of the best, no matter where they are.

Speaking of Nintendo Switch, in addition to exclusive features like cross-platform play with PC and local wireless between up to 4 Nintendo Switch consoles, players can look forward to crisp, buttery smooth 60fps action at 1080p while docked and 720p undocked. Not only that, but Nintendo Switch will make it easier than ever to launch into an impromptu grudge match, thanks to support for detachable, single Joy-Con controls.

Add to this the introduction of Lannie - a new all-rounder - into Disc Jam’s roster of competitors, the ability to host private matches on dedicated servers, a new coat of paint for the game’s arena, and a whole host of community-requested quality of life fixes, and you’ve got a lot to look forward to on February 8. This is only the beginning, though. The team at High Horse Entertainment have been hard at work in their Disc Lab concocting even more surprises, so stay tuned for more information about what’s next for Disc Jam!

Disc Jam lands on Nintendo Switch on February 8, and is currently available on PC and PS4. In addition to currently being 40% off to PS Plus subscribers for a limited time, PC gamers can look forward to a free weekend on Steam, coming soon from February 8 to 11. For the latest updates, visit High Horse Entertainment’s official website or follow them on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, and Reddit.

Thanks to ContraNetwork for the heads up!
