Become the ultimate DJ in VR with Electronauts

Electronauts

NAMM was held on the weekend of January 25th at the Anaheim Convention Center, and it is described as “the world’s largest trade-only event for the music products industry”. It’s heaven for musicians with new products for guitars, microphones, keyboards, and etc. As someone who’s very into listening to music, the event also had headphones. In addition, content creators can look forward to new recording devices from Zoom, Blue Microphones, and Samson. Since I’m very much into gaming, I was sidetracked by Survios’ music-based VR video game called Electronauts.

In Electronauts, you are immersed in a VR world with DJ instruments laid out in front of you. You can create different beats and melodies, and they always go on beat, making you sound like a professional. To add to the excitement, you can partner up with a friend to build, drop, remix, and jam like a DJ duo. Uh oh, better move over, Daft Punk!

The music world is your playground as you mess with sounds, stems, loops, tracks, effects, and more to create an upbeat track. You can, of course, stick to a few notes for a consistent beat. As for me, I went wild and crazy with changing the sounds and effects, and it felt like I was in the middle of a musical firework. That’s thanks to the different visual designs and grenade effects. Yes, you can actually chuck grenades to the beat of the music.

If you really get into the groove of creating music, I guarantee you will work up a sweat. Not only is it fun, but it’s a great workout to boot!

Survios is currently working on bringing more top EDM, hip hop and trap artists for the game. This will allow you to remix and mashup different tracks.

Electronauts‘ release date hasn’t been announced yet, but you can expect it to come out in 2018.

Check out the Electronauts Steam page.
