For those of us that just finished watching the movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi and are hungry for more, The VOID has created a fully immersive 20-minute experience called Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire Hyper Reality Experience. The grand opening was held at Downtown Disney Anaheim on January 5, 2018, with reservation dates through March 2018. For those not around Anaheim, this experience is also available in Orlando Florida and London UK.
The story of this experience is that you and 4 others are disguised as stormtroopers and are infiltrating an Empire base on the volcanic planet of Mustafar. There will be plenty of enemy stormtroopers and lava monsters to hit with your blaster, as you also yell and signal to your other 3 comrades in this coop play.
This hyper reality experience involves physically walking through a confined space with a virtual reality headset. Objects you see depicted through the headset may be actual objects in real life that you must physically reach out to. One such object is an actual R2-Q5 droid. The environment will also vibrate and include scents.
