Scully is seeing double in The X-Files episode 11.03 promo

FOX has released the first promo for next week’s all-new episode of The X-Files as Mulder and Scully find themselves in a town plagued by doppelgangers. Check it out in the player below along with photos from the next two episodes!

TItled “Plus One,” the episode is set to air Wednesday, January 17 on FOX and is officially described as follows: “A spate of deaths, in which the victims were plagued by their own doppelgangers, lead Mulder and Scully to a pair of twins playing a dangerous game.”

The episode was written by Chris Carter and directed by Kevin Hooks. It also features the return of Karin Konoval to the series who played “Mrs. Peacock” in the original series run.

The X-Files features the return of David Duchovny as Fox Mulder, Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully, and Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner. The series originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully and Mulder, as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.
