Our friends at Nintendo Life talked to both Chris Slate and Kit Ellis about the return of Nintendo Power. Well, Nintendo Power in podcast form. Nintendo sprung the first episode on fans out of nowhere, but it was an idea they'd been kicking around for quite some time. The first rumblings came about in Summer 2016, where Nintendo wanted to offer a podcast to give a deeper look inside the walls of Nintendo. When the overall idea started to really come together, Nintendo decided to add in the Nintendo Power name to cement the project.
With the return of the Nintendo Power branding in podcast form, many started to wonder if this was signaling a return of the famous magazine that started it all. Mr. Slate has seen fit to squash that talk, and once again said there are no plans to bring the magazine back at this time.
