Machine Gun Kelly has been cast as rocker Tommy Lee in the upcoming Netflix Motley Crue biopic The Dirt
Rapper Machine Gun Kelly is set to play drummer Tommy Lee in the upcoming Netflix Motley Crue biopic The Dirt, according to Variety. Jeff Tremaine (Jackass) is set to direct the film. The script comes to us from Rich Wilkes and Tom Kapinos. The Dirt will be produced by Julie Yorn, Erik Olsen and Allen Kovac. Chris Nilsson, Steve Kline and Rick Yorn will executive produce with member of Motley Crue co-producing. The film is based on the band’s 2001 autobiography, The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band, and gives fans a look at Motley Crue’s experiences as an ’80s hair band. The band has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.

Machine Gun Kelly, a.k.a. Richard Colson Baker, is a rapper and actor known for the songs “Wild Boy,” “Invincible”, “Stereo,” “Hold On (Shut Up),” “Till I Die” and “A Little Mor.” He’s also known as MGK. He’s appeared in films like Beyond the Lights, Roadies and Viral.
