This isn't the first time we've heard of the Everspace team being interested in bringing the game to Switch, but now Rockfish co-founder Michael Schade has given more details on where the team is right now.
- It's challenging, but Everspace is not GPU-bound so graphical power is less of an issue
- Main concern is the CPU, as there's a lot going on and projectiles need some fine calculations
- "To reduce the CPU load we might have to change enemy weapons", which would mean re-balancing gameplay
- Framerate should be fine, as graphical load isn't huge and the game supports low-end PC's
- CPU is also why PS4 Pro is not reaching 60fps
- They hope to have more news early 2018
It certainly sounds like the team is dedicated to figuring out if the game can work on Switch. Let's hope that news in early 2018 is positive!
