amiibo not needed to access Skyrim's Zelda: Breath of the Wild content

Well here's something that's nice to find out. If you wanted the Zelda: Breath of the Wild content in Skyrim, but you didn't want to go the amiibo route, you have another option! Turns out you can get the gear via a chest, which happens to be tucked away at the summit of Tamriel's tallest mountain, The Throat of the World.
