A YouTube in Hong Kong has just received a three-month ban from the service, all stemming from his decision to live-stream Super Mario Odyssey for an hour. All of his footage has been removed, and he will not have any access to his account for three months.
Now...I don't know how I feel about this one. If this streamer got the game early from a retailer, I don't know that he should get in trouble for streaming. I understand Nintendo's frustration, and I get that they don't want spoilers out there, but should they really get a ban from YouTube? The streamer didn't sign an embargo or anything like that.
Now if the person actually got the game illegally, through whatever methods, then I completely understand the ban. That said, it seems this copy was purchased legally.
