There's a few bugs that Stardew Valley's team are working to squash in the next patch on Switch, but one of them is going to remain. It's a bug that's been in the PC version for a long time now, and the game's creator has no idea what's triggering it.
Pam used to be Pelican Town's bus driver until the service was no longer running. Nowadays you can find her in the Pelican Town bar drowning her sorrows. That is, until she just up and disappears one day. No rhyme or reason given. Pam just seems to vanish out of thin air. Some players thought this was part of a tragic storyline in the game, but it turns out it's a glitch. When asked about the situation, the game's creator had this to say.
I think this is actually a bug that's been in Stardew Valley from the very beginning... and I've still never figured out why/how it happens
If Pam goes missing in your game, it looks like she's going to stay that way. Enjoy Pam while she's around!
